Although the wind was cool and the skies were grey, we had a good turnout for the first Rotary Poker Run (Road Rally).  Don and Walt worked their magic, good job gentleman.
 
Everyone had a good time, people are still talking about it. Especially our winners, 1st place winner was Cynthia Colebank with 3 Aces, Jack high. 2nd best hand was Adrian Kreis 2 Pair with Queen high.

In Sept 2019 we inducted three new members. Wendy Lonson-Hoffman Amber Stratton and Lyndsey Carter.
Wendy Lonson-Hoffman is a retired teacher.
Amber is self employed as a Bookkeeper.
Lyndsey is a Corporate Member with RBC
Our three new members are excited to further the Rotary cause in our community and internationally.

Williams Lake Rotary Club had a very inspirational speech by District Governor Lorne Calder out of Prince George.  Lorne was introduced by visiting Rotarian from Quesnel, Assistant Governor Sandra Lewis. 
 
Not just because DG Lorne Calder is an accountant, by his speech was by the numbers and it was great how he related the numbers to Rotary. Our current President David Dickson liked it so much he wants it on Facebook and in the local newspaper. :-)

Dave Dickson with the Rotary Club of Williams Lake facilitated the operations of Operation Red Nose for the 11th year. Operation Red Nose was out in our community for 9 nights giving people safe rides home. The donations this year were the highest received and in return $15,500 was given to the four Williams Lake community Youth programs. Blue Finns Swim Club, Cariboo-Chilcotin Gymnastics, Camp Likely, and the Cariboo-Chilcotin Fiddlers.
Thank you to these four youth groups who donated their time towards giving safe rides home. There were many other Williams Lake folks who volunteered their time as well to this worthy cause. Thank you Everyone!
